The Consultation

The consultation is the first step in your decision to have a cosmetic service or procedure. During your consultation, Dr. Piskun will thoroughly discuss both external enhancements and internal structural corrections that may be of benefit to you.

Your consultation will include discussions regarding the various surgical or non-surgical options available based on your desired procedure or the results you are seeking. Most cosmetic procedures are available and performed routinely for both females and males. Your treatment plan will be discussed, along with the costs involved and financial policies. Together you and Dr. Piskun will decide if you are a good candidate for the procedure.

She may provide examples of others who have had surgical procedures to assist you in seeing possible results. All of the patients have provided their approval to have the photos shown to others.

You too may have photos taken during the consultation. This is helpful in planning your surgical procedure(s), and the photos become a part of a "before" and "after" comparison. We encourage you to ask questions during your consultation to ensure you have explored all avenues before a final decision is made.

Breast Reconstruction

Dr. Piskun is very active in the surgical treatment of breast cancer and the reconstructive surgery process. She works closely with the general surgeons in the area, assists with mastectomy procedures and then performs the reconstruction procedures. Breast reconstruction involves several plastic surgery techniques and options that attempt to restore a breast to near normal shape, appearance and size following a mastectomy. During your consultation, Dr. Piskun will discuss the options for surgical procedures, your expectations and desired outcome. The office staff will work closely with your insurance carrier and as a courtesy, file those claims with your insurance plan.
